Inactive Puzzle Pirates account for longer than three months maybe deleted. Officially in order to protect your account from being deleted due to inactivity you must purchase Doubloons with real money through Three Rings.

We only guarantee an account is deleteproof with actual purchases - while we do receive money from the offers, they don't guarantee piratey immortality.
Accounts that participate in Doubloon offers or in-game trade for Doubloons are not protected from deletion.
However, it has been noticed that accounts with Doubloons in the balance have survived for longer than the three month inactivity. I personally have noticed one friend which has survived 18 months.
This is unofficial and Three Rings may decide to change their deletion practice at any time, however, in order to extend protection for your account you should ensure that you have Doubloons in your account.
